Apart from a Range Rover

What other car would you look at or consider to buy , I don't mean any of these F Censored K off super cars and whatnot , just a nice everyday use vehicle .

Like the Audi A8 for an example or some other brand ….

Volvo V70 estate. Really nice ones can be had for as little as a couple of grand. Best kept secret in used cars.

I'd maybe look at a D4 in the future although I reckon I'd just be left wanting a FF.
RS6 are very nice as well. FFRR TD6 HSE

I was invited to a pre-launch GTG for the Audi A8 in Germany a few years back. A free flight from Glasgow to Gatwick to Nuremberg and coached to a hotel. Going to dinner that evening we were taken by horse drawn carriage.
Next day a coach trip to the to the Michelin test track where we were given the Audi A8, Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series and had a set of tasks we had to go through to try each one and assess which car handled the best.

The A8 was far more responsive in handling than the Mercedes and BMW, better cornering, more comfortable in all aspects, the braking was also significantly better as was most other points of the Audi.

Hmm so far the reviews on the A8 are good.

With the people who have owned an A8 (3.0) what was the average MPG?
