when you start the range the steering wheel should go to a pre-set position, when you switch of the engine the steering wheel should re-tract and go up ..

Losing the steering wheel up and down movement is quite common, try using the search facility on this forum to find out what's involved in repairing it.

Or if the car is being sold by a garage either get them to fix it or ask for money off so you can fix it. FFRR TD6 HSE

Sounds way over priced for an 04 anyway, I'd either go for a facelift for maybe a little more money, or look at 02 onwards, probably one or two good ones advertised on here! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

Well as a guide I paid £12900 for my 05 pre-facelift td6 vogue with 125k on the clock, and full lrsh. Fair enough the boot smelled of dog, still does a little until I steam clean it, and the lower tailgate wiring and solenoids were shot but it just takes good hunting down, specially as I don'tind doing a bit of work to get it A1 again |
