Currently got a set of 22's on my 05 Vogue
However one wheel has developed a crack and flat spot, and is conisdered by all that view it, as beyond repair.
In general they have been a nightmare - to easy to curb and they make the ride less comfortable compared to the original 18's the car came with.

I was considering just biting the bullet and getting a set of 20's

I was wondering what people here thought.....will the 20's be less prone to damage and improve the ride any?

Re-recycle the 22" alloys into Baked Bean cans (probably what they were made from in the first place)

20" alloys are the largest LR/RR recommend to fit on a Fullfat RR and therefore dont produce anything larger...

(I doubt a genuine set of 20s are any easier to damage than other smaller sizes and should be fine if fitted to yours)

...18" or 19"s are ideal to ensure a better /more comfortable ride quality of course - but 20"s do look good IMHO

22"s are just nasty and rarely match the styling of a Range Rover (except maybe Overfinch styles.....just)

20'' look good
19'' feel good.

I have some 20's that came with the car and a set of brand new standard 19's that overfinch were selling off at a very very good price.

The 20's look great but the 19's make the ride more comfortable and are quieter (possibly also due to having new pirelli tyres on the 19's as opposed to some crappy part worn Nexen's on the 20's) both sets of wheels are 10spoke varieties and to be honest the 19's look almost as good as the 20's. Might get some AT tyres for the 20's and use the 19's more frequently.

I paid less than half the retail price of the tyres for a set of 4 wheels and had thought to sell the tyres to recoup my outlay and keep the rims for AT or MT rubber. But the wheels look so good I am now undecided

Looks like its gonna be the 20's then.

Any recommendations on style?. Keen to stick to types that have been designed for LR/RR

when i was looking for wheels i went on ebay and looked at the different styles on the ranges..

These are the 20's I have. Currently off the car as they are waiting for the dealership to sort out a third refurb (with a different company this time) to get them to an acceptable standard - lots of pitting on the sides of the spokes which have not been adequately addressed.

I have a preference for 19's because I think the larger sidewall suits the scale of the car better. I think I'm in a minority though.

20's job done, nuff said
