As a FFRR and BMW driver, i feel extra smug that i take 1st and 3rd slots of hatred of the people whom 'love the smell of their own farts'

Apparently those who like lycra rate as the worst:-

1) Range Rover Drivers
2) White Van Drivers
3) BMW Drivers
4) Elderly Drivers
5) 4x4 Drivers
6) Drivers of red cars __________________

Well I am not a fan of some cyclists either!!!

My two hates are when they are 2 or 3 abreast and when there is a cycle lane but they still insist on not using it!!!! Reformed

So that's 1 and 3 and 5 for me...excellent...but..I also have a bike..

I don't ride it on the road; roads are not designed, made or maintained for cyclists, they are for mechanically propelled vehicles and that's why it is both dangerous and too risky for both peddler and cars alike to share the same piece of tarmac.

So I ride my mountain bike off road on the dirt and rocks. Current MY2020

Out here what makes me laugh is how many of them complain about cars when they haven't used their bike to get here, they have strapped their bikes on the back of their car to get 18 miles out of town, park on the verge instead of in the designated car parks and fill the lay-bys with abandoned cars when they could cycle the entire 18 miles from the middle of Glasgow out to here on a purpose built cycle way that generally is only used by horse riders and pedestrians.......... and the taxpayer has just been approved to spend another £5,000,000 purchasing the old railway bed to extend the route out from the next village, 16 miles all the way to Stirling! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Small world as I do as well and use the train Smile

I use an mtb hard tail on the road and even when I have the trail gator or trailer on the back of the bike my mrs is behind us not beside us, dam I hate the road cyclists that don't realise what the highway code is for!!!

1 and 6 for me. Whilst I respect everyone's right to make their own choices, the lycra loonies, based on my experience really don't help themselves and represent a genuine traffic risk on a lot of the country roads and lanes around here.

I need to be careful driving over roadkill in the 928, would you notice if you ran over a bike in the FFRR? 2006 Supercharged

I cycle to work and I find the the worst road users, are other cyclists!!! Shocked

Apart from no lights and cycling in the dark in dark clothes!! I passed a cyclist riding no handed headphones on, playing a PSP!!
I nearly get knocked off by other cyclists more than other road users.

And agree with above, if a cycle path exists, it should be law to use it!! Cyclist groups complain when none exists, then when £K's (Of tax payers money!) is spent providing a path to ride on, use the road!!

There should be a compulsory license to take them on the road, same as for driving a car.

The amount of times i have seen near accidents caused by cyclists ignoring red lights, or swinging across traffic using zebra/pelican crossings is unbelievable. I've never seen a cyclist pulled over by the police for it either!!!

One of my mates was charged with careless driving (thankfully not convicted) for an accident involving a cyclist, the reason he was found not guilty was because the cyclist tried to claim compensation for his camera that was damaged in teh accident but the time stamped pictures on his camera proved he was taking shots as he was riding along! Took about 4 months to get his name cleared though!

I'm sure many pedestrians would also list cyclists as a major annoyance (along with FFRR drivers, but thats usually an envy thing...)

I'm not surprised cyclists get attacked - the ones who cycle around by me are totally unbelievable - they ignore traffic lights, they weave in and out, they pull out in front of you waving their arms about - total twits who know nothing about road safety. Censored

What a statement to make "Elderly people were fourth, being seen by cyclists as "too slow" and not paying attention"
Too slow !!! Are they all speed freaks ?

"Four in five of the 2,000 cyclists surveyed said they felt vulnerable and in danger when riding on the road"
That's because they don't know how to ride a bike or take notice of the highway code Rolling with laughter They're a danger to themselves Laughing

"Nearly half (48%) worried most about navigating roundabouts" - Self admission they don't know how to use roads Rolling with laughter
