I've never had the front to back rails on either L322 I have owned and have used the cross bars bolted directly into the roof top points, the only this you have to watch is not to force the rear bar into the front mount or the front bar into the rear mounts - the cross bars mount using the front mount and the bolt point above the B pillar. I once watched a dealer principal trying to force the crossbars onto a customer's car and it wasn't nice to see.................. The cross bars you need for this are part no CAB000030PMA from the 2004 accessories brochure which has been superceded by part no VUB502790 and they will NOT fit into the rear mounting point only the front and middle mounts so you don't need the Luggage Rail System at all if you just want cross bars. Picture here http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/ImagePopUp.aspx?i=VUB502790 These bars are easily removed with a supplied allen key, just never remove the little flaps in the gutter as they are designed to be left in place to close the holes 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |
