to buy or not to buy?

Thanks for your welcome .

I have read and learnt masses about Range Rovers from your forums as a guest, so decided to sign up.
I/We are looking to buy a Range Rover Vogue around 2004, diesel. We live in Spain and have travelled far and wide looking over here and seen some very overpriced not very good condition ones. This is our first Range Rover so not too sure of what to look out for, possible problems etc.?
Even considered flying to UK and buying there as they seem to be much better condition and lower prices but with transfer charges etc. and exchange rate and really wanting LHD , its not as good an option as it seems.

Having said all that , we have now upped our budget a bit and found 3 possibles, here in Spain.
If anyone has the time and interest to have a look at the links below we would really appreciate anyones thoughts or advice. Many thanks in advance. Confused

Welcome, wow, Range Rovers sure are expensive out there! There are a couple over here on Autotrader for £12-£14k in lhd:

First one is a petrol, but there's not that much difference in economy, and you'd buy one hell of a lot of fuel for that price difference, or convert it to LPG, and get better than diesel fuel economy anyway:

Second one is diesel but HSE rather than Vogue:

I'm sure if you keep looking on UK sites you'll find a great lhd car at a good price! Good luck anyway. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

the 2003 AB has a few extras but is still an older shape with a non touch screen nav...the facelift does away with the wiper blades on the headlights and has spray washers instead..the facelift also looks the business with the tinted windows..

United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Oslo Blue

Wow. There expensive. The AB looks nice but has an Air suspensions fault. Might need some work. How much are spare parts in Spain? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I would say much more. Have a look here for the model year changes:

So far as I'm aware the Autobiography just has some nice trim tweaks. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Thanks, looked at your link, loads of good info to take in.
Looking like the 2005 facelift is the better one all round.

2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

FFRR lineup (HSE TDV8) in Spain starts at €99,040 in Spain. And they get nowhere near the level of standard equipment we do...UK (after US) is the cheapest place to buy a new FFRR by a long way.

David from Murcia should be able to help you, if he's around.
