2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Center Lane Owners Club

driving on the M25 today.....

Nearside lane....empty.
Middle lane......one car, doing 70 mph.
Outside lane.....a whole trail of cars in a queue waiting to overtake the car doing 70mph...but stuck behind a car at the head of the queue itself doing 70mph.

And people wonder why there is congestion.

When is this government going to raise motorway speed limits to 80 mph?
and when will "overtaking" on the left be allowed.....
of course, highway code has always said that if your lane on the motorway is going faster than one of the other lanes, it is ok to pass on the inside without changing lanes......

Middle lane drivers are a proper pain in the Censored
However not sure raising speed limit to 80 or allowing undertaking would make any difference.
Prob just cause more problems. FFRR TD6 HSE

When will dim-wits also realise that the inside lane isn't just for lorries and cars towing caravans.
And of course then there are those who don't understand that there is a 70mph speed limit on the motorway................. and not everybody feels the need to drive at 90 mph.

Maybe some tolerance of other road users is what is required by both parties. It's also the time of year when for many drivers it is the only time in the year they drive on a motorway. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Tarmac is Tarmac! Use it all I say. If the Censored in the middle lane can't understand how to use a motorway properly and the outside lane isn't moving fast enough, undertake! [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I think there is a simple solution to this, a wallboard stapler and a boot filled with copies of the highway code.

Them just force them to pull over and use the above items to place a copy permanently in said drivers line of sight. Very Happy lol

What f Censored s me off is arseholes that think they can just join a motorway or dual carriageway , when i'm not able to move out to the outside lane or middle due to fast flowing heavy traffic but these f Censored wits just come straight out causing me to brake , and when you give them the lights they then annoy you even more by braking every now and again ….

We should have Gun laws over here like the states Laughing

Few of these patrolling the motorway would soon sort it. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

What annoys me is people that join on the A1 from Chester Le Street heading north, the go up the long slip road in the left lane which continues as the inside lane of the motorway, then move straight into the middle lane for no reason, causing cars already doing 70+ to brake. 2006 Mercedes CLS
