There was a diff recall for coupling on the early FFRR. not 100% sure on build dates affected. It's well documented. Call LR and they should be able to tell you if your affected and if the recall has been done. Probably easier to ask what problems we don't have. Have a look at Matts website http://www.myrangerover.co.uk/MyRangeRover/Home.html he has a good checklist of things to check prior to buying. Owning a TD6 doesn't automatically mean you will need a new box just try and find one that's been well cared for and you might not need it. The diff was done free by Landrover so that won't cost if it hasn't been done. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

There's a guy in Preston who frequents the board RRPhil and he's a gearbox guru! He's said he will rebuild a box for nothing if you can get it to him. Think a full rebuild for parts is about £700ish. So if you can get the box out and to him it's a very nice gesture by him, to the forum users. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
