Tell me about LPG on a 5.0S/C.....

I'm just doing a bit of advance research prior to changing the current FFRR in the next couple of years. The plan is to buy one of the last L322s with low-mileage, which should hopefully be well under £40k by then.

The options are either a 4.4TDV8 or a 5.0S/C with LPG. I currently run a BMW 4.4 with a Prins LPG kit but I'm interested to know about whether I need Flashlube in the Jag engines or modified heads or anything else of interest, which I don't currently worry about.

Thanks.

IIRC JE say they wont convert unless the head is replaced on a certain type of engine as it soon kills it otherwise. i would say the 5.0 may be harder wearing due to tighter emmissions regs but it does take a lot of power already so be careful...

They sure did, and it was on the 4.2 S/C, but I believe there are now at least four supercharged's with LPG on this forum alone, I'm about to do another too! Another I'm aware of has done nearly four years and 170k since conversion. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
