Wanted - Cheapish FFRR

Yes, I know there's no such thing, but looking through ads I was amazed at how soft prices are now!

I've managed to restore my finances a little, and really want to replace my FFRR, but on a tightish budget, max £9k, I've seen a 2004 with 80k for that, ex Police, no service history, and only an SE, but I now prefer my new Tomtom to the on board satnav, and I can't really see that the SE is missing much else, other than rear screens of course, and the lack of history is not of concern given that it was owned by the Police, not used for pursuits, no lights or sirens. etc.

Does anybody have any better options, or advice? Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Thanks Stan, never been away, been haunting the forum, couldn't stay away, but not much to post with a FullFat.

But the new owner of my S/C is now on the forum I believe. He's converted the S/C to 2010 with full Overfinch kit! So it's in great hands.

I'm really tempted by X5 Pea's S/C, but it's a bit over budget! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I reckon you could do much better than an ex-plod SE for £9k.

Mine sold for £9700 and was a 2003 Vogue with FSH and a few extras in tidy condition.

Was the ex-police a traffic car or something? 2006 Mercedes CLS
1991 Retro-style Mini
But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tonga Green

SE's are terrible spec. No auto wipers, no heated seats, some even have manual temperature control! No parking sensors, no heated screen the list goes on, no pollution sensor, everything was a tickable option.

Nope, it was a chauffeur car for a chief constable or something, spec seems OK, and it comes with a years warranty etc. Been owned by a dealer since Plod. He's just got a new Sport. Perhaps I can do better, any forum owners cars for this price? Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Thanks Mick, looks good.

Just found a 2002 V8 for £7,500! 110k on the clock, apparently had an engine rebuild for £1,400 a year ago. Incomplete history up till then. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

We can't all have Superchargers!!

Kidding, I'm wondering if I can go back to anything less than the S/C now, but anything's got to be better than driving a car other than a RR!

Have to persuade X5 PEA to take £9k plus a kidney!

2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

My 2003 SE had no extras and had all the things BIGL322 mentioned and heated seats front and rear. It had no wood - Foundry I think it was called and the seats were part leather (the seat backs were pleather), no nav, no PTI, no Bi-Xenons and 18" wheels 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
