Tiree - leave the car at CalMac's secure compound at Oban and take bikes over if you have them - book now though as the Tiree Wave Classic Windsurfing event is on around then too. CalMac fares for the car though are not too bad up until the middle of October as that is still considered to be within the holiday period and the fares are very heavily discounted. last year IIRC it cost me £90 return for the car for the three hour ferry ride from Oban and £20 return for driver and each passenger. Plenty of B&B's and there is a very nice hostel if you want to do the self catering thing. I wouldn't recommend staying at either of the hotels though. Plenty of cottages to rent but most are by the week only. Once there you can just chill or there are loads of things to see, 365 beaches to explore, several museums including The Hynish Centre which was where the Lighthouse Stevensons based themselves for building Skerryvore Lighthouse. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

I can recommend here - www.eastgatecottages.co.uk/ Quality and attention to detail (I would choose one that's owned by them, rather than one they are acting as agent for) Also friendly and helpful staff.. |

Canal boats are a surprising good laugh - maybe thats down to the fact that there is all to do than drink I quite fancy this one, but its probably a long weekend - canal boat on the ruhr valley, think you could head towards the ada humming the dambusters tune! http://www.leboat.co.uk/?utm_source=google...-UK_Google Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated __________________ 2015 FFRR SDV8 2011 FFRR TDV8 4.4 - Gone 2005 FFRR TDV6 - Gone |
