you need to make sure the seat belt part meets up with the slider or else it wont clip on "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

Have I described it incorrectly, I mean after the doors, the pillars that the tailgate closes into?

If its the one in the boot space I took mine off at the weekend to try and find where water is coming into the boot area.

I could be wrong, but I think it's the D pillar trim. As Bob says, it's just held on by trim clips, might be that a couple are broken if it's been off before. That is if it's the same as my 2003 was. 2006 Mercedes CLS

Thanks gents. It is still attached but the 2 most rearward pins are not clipped in so the trim is rattling. I tried to push them in but they seem reluctant to locate, perhaps the whole trim needs to be removed and re positioned before i apply hand pressure and snap the 2 clips?.

Yes. I think there are 4 or 5 clips holding the trim in place and another one that slides onto the roof trim. |

I had the same problem with mine. If you look carefully at the clips that are on the panel you will see that they are excentric so you need to turn them so that they line up with the corresponding holes. My panel came loose and i spent ages trying to get it back. it was only when my son had a look that we found out what the problem was -went back easy when we lined the clips up properly-hope this helps Ex D1, D2, D3 owner now 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE |

Yes this is the D pillar and is held on by 4? press stud clips. If you break some don't worry they are cheap to replace. To remove the trim work your fingers under the edge next to the rear quarter window and pull firmly away. As you pull the edge under the boot door seal will role out from underneath. Don't pull too far out until you have disconnected the speaker wires... 06MY 4.4 V8 Autobiography Cairns Blue with Navy & Parchment Interior |
