I was going to a meeting in Queen Street this lunchtime and had heard on the traffic flashes on the radio driving into town that the area around George Square is closed while a movie is being filmed - some sort of Zombie movie starring Brad Pitt.
I walked down from Port Dundas and at Queen Street there was traffic chaos............... all the traffic lights have been ripped up and replaced with American style over head danglies, there were huge "sunlamps" trying to make George Square look warm and sunny, and the City Chambers was flying a huge "Stars and Stripes" from the flag staff! And the crowds........ hoards of middle waged females trying to get a glimpse of the star himself. If you are coming into Glasgow City Centre best leave the car in one of the carparks around the city centre and walk as it will take an age to get round the George Square area.
