1st you need to find a Vogue or Autobiography that has the Phone installed. Then you need to swap the phone module out for the Bluetooth module. This is easy peasy.

For the late 2005 and newer cars, no to music, but yes for calls and displaying the contacts, although you may need to upgrade it to get the contacts working if it's not been done already.

thanks chaps 2 things is the phone module expensive/difficult to get hold of secondly aren't all vogues/autobiographies built with phone kits how do i tell is it just as simple as trying to pair up my phone when i go to look at a vehicle or is there something physical to look for in the car?

Firstly Bluetooth was never fitted to the Pre 05's. To get this it is a "mod" which is simple enough. The cost of the BT unit ranges from £70-£250. They are easy to track down on eBay. Search for BMW Bluetooth ULF or variants on that theme...

All RR's from 2002 onwards can play ipods/mp3's over the ICE: for the earlier RR's (pre touch screen) the intravee is the best solution - as Dan says. For the early touch screen models (2005-06) you need the OEM LR audio connectivity module (which the dealer says is only for 2007>) but you'll need to remove the dash pad for the install (an extra 1.5hrs work). 2007-09 is no prob with the LR ACM and 2010> have the system in place ex-factory. Bluetooth on the early models is easy - as Dan says - but don't just plug the module in: you need to re-pin the plug to the module. And you don't need to have the bitII phone in the car: many came with a phone prep (look for a harness with a large white 10-pin spade connector and a similarly sized black 54-pin connector in the boot under the nav drive). If worst comes to worst, the harness can be retrofitted for about GBP150. Come back and ask once you've bought a RR for specific help. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s (wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too) |

As it's an oem bit you'll have to talk to your very friendly local dealer. I purchased 2 for under GBP300 a little over a year ago - they usually run slightly over GBP300.

Hi guys I just got a parrot kit fitted to my 2005 facelift and I needed some sort of adapter to connect to the fibre optic system. I can now play music from Ipod, usb, sd card & Iphone which can also be via bluetooth.

You just need to adjust the bass, and it can be set to different levels for each source...

Hi guys, just purchased a 2004 53 plate full fat and would like to upgrade the nav to the Mark 4 unit but I am unsure if this will provide Bluetooth?

The Mk4 nav is seperate to the phone module. Does your car have a phone fitted currently? |
