Are we seeing the end of Nokia?

Just heard today that Google has taken over Motorola so that they can make and sell their own mobile phones....... 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Yep, I've been thinking the same thing for a while now what with Iphone, Blackberry and Android making Nokia a definite 4th place sort of "also ran" type of maker. Shame really, they used to be the best but never did enough development to stay there.

I read somewhere last year the nokias R&D budget larger than the rest combined, the problem was they were so inefficient, that the products at the end were years behind the competition.

And then there was the symbian open source effort Whistle

Unfortunately no phone's camera comes anywhere the N8's. That being said, I decided to go for the Samsung Galaxy S2 because I like android and I love the 1.2GHz dual core cpu.

A real shame as there is no decent Nokia PC Suite equivalent for any of the competition and it's a feature I really miss. There are a few "wannabes" but they are buggy and difficult to use Sad

I do believe nokia will come back in a year or so's time, once everyones bored of the iPhone.
