Admiral are in for a right roasting tomorrow morning Twisted Evil Over the last year I have moved all my cars (on the road ones) to an Admiral Multibuy Policy which generated savings on each vehicle as I transferred them over. Total annual premium for the last year was @ £1695 for 4 cars (which included my daughters car on 3rd+F+F and she as main driver)
an increase of 56%
The renewal has just come in at £2646 Evil or Very Mad with my daughters car coming in at £1050 (up from £600 !)

The FFRR ain't so bad at £436 (I had a new screen) but was paying £260 in 2009

They'll get a chance to get things back to a sensible level, or I'll have to get my surfboard out again!

EDIT

The best Admiral say can do is £2381, with the FFRR down to £403, so surf city, here we come Whistle

For info, the renewals person at Admiral said that premiums had gone up on average by 40% .

Just done the rounds on confused.com

Best price for all four cars: £1277 (FFRR £213 - Swift)

Crazily quotes from Admiral totaled £1609 (less than currently paying) (FFRR £295). They have received a blast via email with screenshots of all the quotes Twisted Evil

Struggling to understand how insurance companies operate and expect to keep customers. Do they think we are stupid by trying it on like this when renewal time comes round? All it does is make work for them and us. I do get hacked off with having to pay through the nose and increased premiums because of the costs from other drivers on the road.

What about a FFRR insurance scheme? I have a few contacts in the insurance industry i could talk to about this? .

United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Adriatic Blue

My renewal is due on 29th August so have been looking around on confused etc.
2002 HSE TD6
31 years old
10 years protected no claims
14k miles a year
Last years premium was £580 with elephant and so far the best I've had from the comparison site is £515 from admiral which I was pretty happy with.
However I just gave elephant a call to get my renewal quote from them and was blown away with £409!!!!
Just need to call Adrian flux but I'd be surprised if they can match that.

More money to go towards my interior upgrade Thumbs Up FFRR TD6 HSE

Yep, was alittle surprised to say the least. Like you said I'd normally expect my existing insurer to up my premium. FFRR TD6 HSE

i've heard of some clubs doing these insurance schemes before as they are like small companies and they are classed as business policies with personal use or such like. Gets it a fair bit cheaper as well, especially if the fleet is in double digits or bigger!

Joe90 - Im with Admiral multicar. Just 2 cars. I got the renewal through and it was stupid money. Funny thing though - go to website and do a quote for each vehicle individually its much cheaper. They have to match the combined price on multicar policy.

Greg - Elephant is owned by.... you guessed it.. Admiral! Play one off against the other. Mine is only a TD6 but insurance is under £300 fully comp with legal aid and the other bits n bobs. 2006 MY Autobiography. With 'toys'

Under £300!!

Jeepers do you live in a List X site in the middle of no-where, have a pipe and slippers and only take it out once a week to church and back and have a Gold Advanced Driving Licence??

Wish i could get mine that cheap, even limited the miles with mine on admiral!

Yes - old git ( me not you). Its with Admiral too.
They do give a good bit of discount depending upon which level of police driver you are. Mind you with the £28 admin charge the whole "premium" does go over the 300 mark.
I think its also a postcode thing. And I dont do more than 10k a year in mileage. 2006 MY Autobiography. With 'toys'
