cant see that on the 'gov' page..it looks like you have to renew every 5 years from 45 years of age.

I hold the class 1. Up to age 45 it remains valid.

I never renewed my Class 1 and let it lapse sure miss the days of Trucking keep meaning to apply to see if i would get it back ====================================

Mick, it doesn't actually lapse. All you would have to do is pass the medical AFAIK. That's all I did. Then applied to DVLA and it was all OK. |

Only problem being it was six year ago , think thats why i keep putting it off coz they might tell me i have left it too long ====================================

OK, as long as you have passed the HGV test, now called C+E, the only bit which lapses is the medical. Go have a medical and send it off to DVLA with your photocard licence and you should get the licence back with all your entitlements.
