I noticed a slightly harsh change from 2nd to 1st, I'm sure I read somewhere about a SW update for the SC & Gearbox. I had a quick search but nothing jumped out at me...

Anyone know anything about this? RRPHIL on RR.net is the guru of all things autobox related, but he's disabled his PM's

Is this the same gearbox that was in the 4.6/4.8 petrol X5s? If so I had the same issue and was told it was my driving style and the car was getting ready to pull away quickly and this prompted a quick clunky gear change when coming to a halt. It can be reset by doing something with the accelerator on X5s.

No, it's a different gearbox to the Jag one... and a different one to the X5

I think the problem above is due to the engine and gearbox ECU's not quite talking to each other properly.

Basically from 2nd to 1st the engine should have cut all torque so it's smooth... this isnt happening. I'll speak with a dealer about it asap and report back
