has anyone ever done this?

i understand that in some RR's there was an option where there was effectively a little flap fitted where the center arm rest in the back seats so you can slide something like skis, through the car, without having the seats down......has anyone had this retrospectively done, or anyone know a good trimmer where you could do this? i guess it would involve cutting a panel out of the back and then having a way of shutting it? i would like to get this done for this winter for my trips to the alps..... cheers andy

Unless you have an odd colour combination I would reccomend buying replacement rear seats off eBay or something as the cheapest & easiest way to go about this...

Rather than making something from scratch, could you salvage the door/hatch and ski bag from an old BMW such as a 5 series?

it was actually an option though and it would appear to be quite a straight forward thing to do if you know what you were doing, not a diy job of course....

Roof rack/sports bars with ski carrier. They regularly come up on the bay for around £30 Smile Of course I miss them every time - but then I don't ski, so have no real need for them.

I don't have a kayak either but I still bought the kayak roof accessories!
