Just had to replace mine too £178 + VAT but air con working lovely now .

thats about the average price joe...i found one at powerfuluk @ £150 inc but they are out of stock..next was ebay @ £175/180 inc...

No, done by indie and his air con man, as the latter found the problem - leaking condenser ( I had no gas at all in the system ). Labour cost lost in with other labour for service and repairs so can't give a clear indication of that either.

as it happens my boy is a mechanic and he found the leak with his ultra violet gun thingy but any tips would have been helpful, any one else have ideas? |

the professionals i've spoken to seem to think that the leak stoppers are a waste of money ..like normal radiator leak stoppers the a/c ones are probably only a very temporary solution...
