Land Rover had a big stand at the CLA Game Fair over the weekend. They even had an Airstream type caravan made into a take away, if you presented your LR keyfob you could get free bacon butties for breakfast, free lunch and free drinks all day. Nice.

Anyway, the focus of attention was clearly the Evoque, everyone was all over it. They had 2 cars on a stand with a FFRR and a Sport out front.

The Evoque was in red 3 door with a white roof and a black 5 door, which I sat in.

I have to say, I was REALLY impressed, it's a gorgeous vehicle to be in, the full length glass roof is cool, the seats are very nice, really supportive and good bolsters, dash layout is very flowing and easy to reach.

My only criticism would be the rear visbility, not great.

The wife was very smitten and I reckon this will be her next car once the ML has done it's duty. If I didn't need the larger size I'd be tempted myself.

Also saw a FFRR in red by the Gunsonpegs.com stand, and that looked SO good. Discovery 4 HSE

What was the visibility like out front - can you see the bonnet ? In the reviews I've seen it appears to be more car like rather than the up on top overlooking view you get from both FFRR & sport.

It is certainly more car like yes, looks smaller than the freelander, but the looks are really good. Discovery 4 HSE

I had a quick look around a white three door whilst waiting for the transport shuttle at Gaydon yesterday.
I knew they were small of stature, but I was amazed how "tiny" it actually was when standing alongside it.
Inside was very nicely finished in cream stitched dark leather and brushed metal.
They are growing on me, but it still doesn't seem appropriate that it sports a Range Rover badge Gerry

Err.. That looks more like Evogue X.

One of the BabyRR forum guys had RR08 ABY spaced as RR0 BABY. Which I kind of liked, even though it means putting an 08 plate plate on a 61 plate car.

there are certainly cheaper options..
