Broken air suspension

I took the dog to the vets this morning where she was put to sleep and on the way back self levelling and air suspension inactive on dash  had that reset and this afternoon it's back on again and I found a hole in drivers side air bag Big Cry
So it looks like my first couple of weeks owning are going to be expensive

"Pattern" parts are available from Paddock Motors www.paddockspares.com.

Delphi OE for £270.00 + VAT, much cheaper than a dealer.

Really sorry to hear about your dog.
It kind of puts your worries with your Range Rover into perspective.

I know you have to fit in pairs If it was your own car would you change the rears at the same time

No, the rears are more durable and last longer, (and cheaper)

unlike normal steel suspension there is no reason to change air springs in pairs, but i would say it is good practise to do so. obviously if you are going to replace a pair, keep the good one as a spair for a rainy day.

I did mine a few weeks ago. The Delphi strut assemblies I bought had integral dampers (shock absorbers) so I'd suggest you do need to replace them in pairs as their function will have deteriorated over time. If you are going to just replace the bladder then you can probably get away with one. However, my RR had done over 100k miles on it's original struts so I felt it was time to replace.

when mine went i was told for some reason it always seems to be the front offside/drivers side that goes so maybe just replace the one if its the same one thats gone on yours "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

But now it sits level again thank god

Thanks all for your input time to go back to lurking fingers crossed that's the end of the problems for the moment lol
