It's funny, I was offer a converted SC before I bought mine, but decided I didn't want the hassle, and since this was my first RR and having heard horror stories about reliability (or lack thereof) it was one less thing to worry about!

Now that I have it and it's been the paragon of reliability (touches much wood as he says that), I wouldn't change my decision.......... Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

My td6 has averaged just under 27 mpg over the last 800 miles since I reset my comp. That is a pretty good mix of long distance runs, short journeys and everything in between. I don't crawl but I dont have a heavy foot either. Will try to assess it over a longer period. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

My TD6 did 23-24mpg hauling a fully loaded 3.5 tonnne trailer - on a run.

I normally get 27-28 driven sedately in the cruise. Don't do much town driving.

Friend of mine said he wouldn't get a FFRR as they use so much fuel. I pointed out mine uses the same amount of fuel as his Porsche Boxter. Rolling with laughter

BTW, these are figures brimming the tank, not from the computer - which lies.

Have you checked your PCV hoses? All 4 of them, a vacuum leak on the 4.4 will cause your mpg to drop significantly.

I get 15 around town and 20+ on a run - and that's with trouble free LPG. £1100 to do the install and it's paid for itself already.

I do enjoy filling up for £45-£50! That generally gets me 250 miles or just over 300 on a run.

ive checked the hoses on the top and they are new but ive not got round to checking the ones underneath yet.....that was a good price for the lpg install and you say you have had no trouble with it ...thats nice to hear as most people i know with lpg have trouble with there head after a while "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

Hows your air cleaner? Mine was filthy and it was terrible. I swapped it and it stopped the Alex Higgins Impression.

Fair enough, mine was after a service though too they 'missed it'

Thumbs Up

To be fair mine has a tendency to turn into Christian Slater whenever it gets the chance. Wink
