*Sorted*: set of 19" or 20" wheels

Hello, I'm after a set (either 4 or 5) of newish genuine LR wheels with winter tyres. It's to go on an 07 plate s/c - I've currently got 20" wheels but if 19" are better, and if they will fit, I'd be interested in them too. From the forum it looks vredstein wintraks are the best tyres so that would be perfect.

There's no budget as such, I'll pay whatever the going rate is.

Thanks in advance, Andy

I've got 5 x 19" for sale, but with road tyres going cheap.

Have a look here:

Thanks Gaz, are MTRs more of an offroad tyre? We'll only be using the car on the road but want the safest tyres possible in the rain, ice and snow.

Hi Nbunney - what price are you selling them for? PM me if it's easier.

I take it there's no problem with 19" on a s/c (I'm still a relative newbie)

They are an offroad tyre that's also OK on the road. Not a winter tyre. Bit noisy on the road too.
Fine in snow but I'd much rather have proper winter tyres in ice and slippery conditions.

They were made for Land Rover due to the G4 challenge, as only road tyres were available at the time.
On the event they were standard fit.

Don't know if they're marked so, but if they're 'M&S' (mud and snow) they're legal in winter in countries that demand winter tyres - e.g. Switzerland where I live, so they can't be that bad in the snow.

Having said that, my 'summer' tyres are 'M&S' but I still change them for proper winter tyres come the winter.

Full marks Andy D for getting organised. Thumbs Up

Thanks Kurt. Its not so much being organised, I'm just hoping it'll be a bit cheaper now than waiting until the autumn Very Happy

When we got the FFRR last October we looked for winter tyres but there was nothing available anywhere

Hmm thats how i would love my FFRR to look Bow down Looks classy but still capable of showing other softroaders what it can do.

I take it they are bolt on bits from LR from the likes of the G4 Challange??

Also best time of year to buy a set of wheels like that, though i have seen some really cheap ones go through the bay lately, with still decent rims on them :)

Gazelleo

What model did the single wheel in the picture come from?

I ask because I have just got a set of identical wheels with standard tyres for my car.

The Alloy on the pallet are 2010 design alloys ... Thumbs Up

Only problem i see with them is that they do not have RANGE ROVER stamped on one of the spokes which makes me think they me be Land Rover design ones
