BWI Vs Bilstein

Hi all. Iā€™m just about to replace the front struts completely & just wondering whether to go for genuine BWI or go for Bilstein. Does anyone know if the Bilsteins will give a firmer ride or will just be comparable to BWI. Has anyone made the change?
Thanks for any advise. Paul. 2010 RR Autobiography 5.0 SC

The Bilsteins that I fitted a few years ago had Dumlop bags and both bags failed rather quickly. Saved BWI bags that had previously been fitted to get more life out of the original shocks were refitted when the Dunlop bags failed.

If replacing the rears, note that Bilstein bags are too short for later L322s and will burst if off-road height is used over uneven ground.

I've had no issues with Bilstein shocks and would use them again if I still had the L322 or if they make L405 versions when the time comes. MY21.5 D350 Vogue SE Carpathian Grey

Many thanks for that really helpful insight. As they are both the same price I might as well go for the BWI & hopefully not have to worry about them for another 15 years. šŸ‘šŸ» 2010 RR Autobiography 5.0 SC
