Best discount from List Price ?

What would you expect to get off the list price when buying new ?

What's the best discount anyone has managed to achieve ?

free accessories, 5%, 10%, 15% ????

Re: Best discount from List Price ?

Depends what model/spec you're after and whether the dealer has one they wish to 'offload.' Discount is relatively hard to come by. Dealers have consistently told me they have very little margin on Autobiographies. You should manage £2-3k off though on Vogue and Vogue SE.

There's quite a few companies out there advertising some large savings.

BUT, whether these companies are any good to deal with though is another question. I'm not sure if you have to buy directly from them, or if they just act as an agent & put you in touch with a dealer ???
autoebid, broadspeed, buyacar and others etc all give the impression you can get about a 6, 7 or even 8K saving.

I would imagine you probably would get the best deal for a stock vehicle the dealer wants to shift quickly, especially if it's last years model with the 2012MY due to be made for September time.

That phrase is just inbred into all car dealers ! Whistle, but it can be hard to beat them down. Laughing

rather worrying that they advertise it as a 3.6, but then the description has it as a 4.4?

If they can't be bothered to get the advert right, what else aren't they doing... Whistle

Maybe it's an old stock 3.6.
My local dealer was knocking £7,500 off those as the 4.4 came out to shift 'em.

says 4.4 in the description....

I was speaking with my friendly local stealer today and he was saying that prices on Range Rovers are down at the moment for their traditional summer 'lull', he expects that prices will increase again around October but that the Evoque will keep their order books full in the meantime. Possibly the best discounts are during the summer months?

Will be a 3.6. There aren't the margins on the 4.4. A new 3.6 isn't particularly desirable anymore.

I can only dream of margins such as that! My guess is that it is a pre-registered 3.6 which may have had a bonus against it when it was registered late last year.

You couldn't do that deal on a new UK car.

That advert is very odd indeed.

Did anybody notice the headline is: New Range Rover 3.6TDV6 Vogue SE Auto For Sale

Yes that TDV6....(Not TDV8)

And its a Vogue (Not Vogue)*FFRR spell system keeps changing Voooooouge to Vogue Big Cry

Engine listed as 4.4 (Not 3.6)

THese guys have not got a clue so if it is a Vogue SE TDV8 4.4 is a STEAL but if a 3.6 then still a bargain if genuine but going by the ad I would not hold your breath.... Surprised

I hear that if you're willing to fight for our country & join the military you can get a nice discount off all LR products.

True.
I knew a priest in the services that used to get nice discounts on his FFRR.

Bring a trade-in into the equation and you certainly can get a "discount" (unless dealers like booking your trade-in at more than they then retail it at).
