Treatment for old rear air bags

I don’t think the rear bags have ever been replaced on my 2003 TD6, i replaced the fronts about 6 years ago when one went bang.

I know it’s quite late in their life to ask now, but after several hours/days under it recently I thought I’d ask, is there any kind of spray or treatment that may prolong their life or protect them a bit?

Thanks all in advance

Take it to off road height and clean all the crud and sandy residue off them, most seem to get worn out by the crud wearing the bag every time it folds over itself....

I would say most things you could treat the bag with would just make it sticky and promote the above scenario...!! Thumbs Up Pete

Thanks Pete

It wasnt til i was under it changing rear height sensors last week that it dawned on me the bags are 23 years old. Hoping to get a years driving out of it with any more large repairs, although I'm surprised they've lasted this long with very little (none) care

I'll give them a wash and keep an eye on them. Is there a recommended or preferred bag brand IF i have to replace them? See prices from £60 each on eBay up to £300 each
