We’re hoping to head off in July in the SC. We’re looking at Dublin to Rosslare to Cherbourg to overnight in Granville then on to a few nights in Noirmoutier. Then on to Quimper for a night. Then to Roscoff for Plymouth and on to Bath/Bristol before heading back to Rosslare via Fishguard.

Would anyone have some favourite spots along the route? I have hotels sorted and also fuelling options, but not many distractions along the route for some food or just a walk. We’ll be bringing picnic basket and chairs with us, but I’d really like to get the most from anywhere we stop along the way (walks, etc.). I’m particularly ignorant of the south-east of England, though I’m not sure Plymouth to Bath warrants a stop.

Villedieu les Poëles is on your route. Town where they make copper pans and utensils. Lots of displays of copper items. John
