United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Orkney Grey
First time owner

Bought my first ever Range Rover on Friday last week. It’s a 2011 Orkney Grey vogue (but with some great options that must of been spec’d when new) 131,000 miles. Really happy with it.

Couple of questions;

Can they take a while to get up to temp on colder mornings? After 30 min drive this morning the temp gauge was still reading below halfway.

Do they all have a flat spot on the throttle pedal? Seems to not be much response for the first third of travel when pulling away

Welcome!
I had a 2011 L322 it would sometimes take a while to get to temp, longer on cold mornings, does yours have the auxiliary heater known as the Fuel burning heater this can be used to warm the cabin and assist in engine warming ( I’m not sure on the exact process) you may have a seperate fob to start the heater remotely and have timed climate as an option on the menu screen.
The slow pull away is fairly standard for these heavy weights I believe some use the ‘sand mode’’ to improve this but can’t say I ever have, if I had to wait for a gap in traffic it was a positive as I got spend more time in it Very Happy
I’m sure others will be along with their experiences

Yes it does have the FBH. I don’t have the fob but can set it up timed to come on. Does the heater make a humming noise from the passenger footwell area? As I could hear this as I was driving this morning for the first 10-15 min. 2011 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 Orkney Grey

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

I also have a late L322 4.4 TDV8 Vogue with some great options, awesome cars. Mine warms up within 5 to 10 mins max and that's being driven very gently which I do until it's fully warmed.

I don't have any hesitation at all so you may have something that needs attention.

Being gluttons for punishment we have two 4.4 TdV8's. They both drive pretty much the same (as you'd expect). Warm up is pretty good even on a very cold morning, but step off from a standing start is always a bit 'hit the throttle, wait half a second, GO." Drives:

I'm with Eastsoutheast... my 2012 Westminster warms up very quickly even on really cold mornings. I would say the gauge reaches vertical after less than 10 minutes. If it's really chilly I can hear the pump ticking away under the boot for the FBH. This is automatic - you don't have to use the fob or timed climate from the screen - they're only used if you want to pre-heat the cabin.

Similarly I don't experience any hesitation when pulling away. 2012 TDV8 Westminster in the New Forest
