A great deal is logged, but probably not accessible by main dealers. See for example the Anglesey crossbow murder case where JLR were able to supply the police with details of where the perpetrator's car was on the night in question, when doors and tailgate were opened, route travelled, where it was parked etc. I believe the policy is not to release this information other than in such serious law enforcement situations. I’ll take it to a local dealer and see what info I can get, I’m trying to find out if another dealer where I bought the car did a service and not just updated the online data, as 4 months later and 4000 miles it’s telling me it’s due a service, all very suspicious. |

Read the dpf thread . 4k miles and 4 months is within common boundaries of service if you do a lot of short journeys. V8 or else ... |

That’s the thing though, 8 x 320mile 3 x 230 mile journeys, plodding away on adaptive cruise. Mostly motorway driving |
