Unlocking a password protected GAP tool

GAP say that the tool needs to have the password removed by the original owner. I have the password from the original owner and he's saying just use the password and move it to my account.

Bit confused...

All sorted - previous owner emailed GAP in Canada and confirmed that the password had been removed. I then plugged the unit into the car and got an activation code, which I forwarded on to GAP.

Patrick came back to me with an unlock code, which I entered in the app and all is working as it should.

A few fault codes cleared and the first job was a battery replacement confirmation p.

Happy days

Will now have to google what else I can play around with…
