EAS Fault - 0x7A Reservoir Pressure rises when lifting

Hi all,

My 2003 M62 L322 has a new fault. Yippee!

I have the Air Suspension warning, but apart from that, all seems well.

The fault first tripped when going on the motorway and the car tried to get into "Motorway mode" and lower itself.

The car sits quite happily (i.e. no sagging), but it is perhaps a little uneven (it may have always been, doesn't really bother me).

Anyway, the GapIID tool has shown the fault

0x7A Reservoir Pressure rises when lifting

... which google seems to have no answers for.

If it makes any difference, i also have a 0x10 Steering angle sensor watchdog error

So anyone have any ideas?

Be nice to have a clear dash, it used to be free of any errors Sad

Apart from that, all is well in the land of old L322s (as well as they can be!)

Have you drilled a hole in the filter on the air pump yet ? If not do it.

That style of code seems to come and go all the time. I don’t think they are actually fault codes and that may be why you’re not finding anything on Google.

What is the exact message you’re seeing on the dash? Des

The cone filter. Can I just whip that out or do I need to worry about the 100+ psi air pressure in the compressor.

The dash error is > AIR SUSP. INACTIVE < and the EAS won’t change its setting, although the light on the EAS control is illuminated and looks as it should.

IIRC this is a "hard" fault, it will not clear when you have rectified the problem.

It will need a diagnostic tool to erase... Thumbs Up Pete
