Looking at a possible upgrade to a 2017 AB L405, seller doesn’t think it has the FBH and doesn’t have a fob, If it has timed climate on the screen is it an easy process to get a remote fob paired?
Also is CarPlay available on this year or will I need a retro fit?

If it's a diesel it will have a FBH fitted. I have a 2015/6 and no FBH key fob but using the LR app I can initiate it from afar. It is also far better and warmer than my L322 FBH.

if it's a 2017 you should have CarPlay but it may be wired from your phone? £50 will get you a wireless adapter.

Perfect, it’s the 4.4 with the 8sp box same as I have now I believe, the FBH isn’t the best in the L322 it has to be said!
Seeing it tomorrow anything else I should pay extra attention to? 1972 Series 3 full of character

lok for rusty pipes on the adaptive suspension (£2500 to replace).

If the screen is larger and does not have touch buttons on either side it is CarPlay capable, I don’t think all trims got it as standard though so worth checkin, if it helps my 2017 AB has it.

Had a deal on the 2018, CarPlays there and looks like I can set the climate from the incontrol apps, is there a charge / subscription for the app and its features?
I’ll get under it soon and have a good look round, it has a three month ‘comprehensive’ warranty so need to see what’s what soon!

Edit - signed up to the incontrol apps and had a subscription reminder for £260 for the year! think ill give that a miss,,,, oh and the check engine light came on on day two  1972 Series 3 full of character
