Going to do this when I replace the infotainment system. I've printed off 2 x copies of the guide and will use one copy to refer to whilst working and the other to push the screws into at each relevant section.

A job for a warm sunny day I think.

I've now done the job twice as I broke the fan blades when fitting the new blower last time. If you damage the blades you limit your blower speed and the ability to use full demist or full cooling in the summer. The noise gets worse as the fan 'hamster wheels' break up and you also ruin the blower motor cover which you then need to source used.

My solution was to DRAMATICALLY reduce the size of the wiring loom box that sits above the motor with a hacksaw blade which was very unnerving.

Sawing so close to the wiring loom was terrifying but I found it the only way to get the new motor in without forcing it, and the motor cover back on without a massive bang, which could also damage the new motor blades.

I also removed the left hand side GREEN cable entirely at the end you can see, and the BLUE cable plastic clip (but not then cable end) to get these out of the way.

My tip, if you can't get the broken motor back in without a squeeze, then you will not be able to get the new motor in without breaking the blade assembly.

If you follow my guide, there's no need to cut. Using the pry bar to gently lift the loom was sufficient to get the blower motor in and out. I'd also point out to follow my note around orientation when removing and installing the blower. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
