Replacing engine mounts on a 4.4sdV8 - Anyone done this?

Workshop manual way when replacing any engine mount is to remove the engine but a lot of people online basically jack up the engine and swap them in situ. I’ve watched hours on YouTube and read loads of posts and this looks straightforward enough to do, albeit tight.

Attempted to do this yesterday on my 4.4 but quickly realised there’s a lot less room to do this with this engine. The diesel is covered with this sound deadening material on either side of the engine that looks like it will have to be removed to get a long extension down the side to get to the engine mount bolts.

Rewatching all the videos, everyone who has done this either has either the v6 diesel or the 5.0 and there’s more space than mine.

Grateful if anyone has done this on the 4.4 for a bit of reassurance! Thanks.
