Soo, been chasing this misfire for a few weeks, it usually runs fine, until I park, run into the shops, then it starts.
Iid tool says cylinder #4 each time. Removed the plug, it's dry when this happens, so assuming injector is sticking shut, replaced coil, swapped coils, no change when it's happening.

Interesting this is, when I disconnect the battery for about half an hour, she runs fine again. When it's warm, my negative is wiggly, I've tried to snug it up various ways, could this be the culprit finally?

I've run 2.bottles of injector cleaner through it and it has Marvel Mystery Oil in the tank at the moment, it's driving me nuts!

Well outta luck, it did it this morning after parking, can't get it to stop now, have fully seated both battery terminals, they were both suspect.
Sometimes after putting the cleaner in, it would start to misfire, then clear itself up, so clearly the cleaner is doing something.

Seems like it's trying to tell you, injector 4 is faulty, they do tend to fail intermittently first so it's giving you warning...

If number 4 has failed I expect the others won't be far behind....! Pete

It got injector #4 replace this week, after old mate finished it, he let it warm up, took if for a spin around the block, now injector #2 is playing the same game. It's booked in to have the other 3 on that bank replaced as I'm getting intermittent misfire on #8 too. Expensive suckers down here and had to wait for them to come from Perth. If one plays up on the other side at any time, I'll replace the whole bank too. The bloke said the fuel rail was clean but there was a lot of carbon and crud on the ends of the injectors that he cleaned off. He trouble shooted the failed one out of the car and it was totally dead.

Got the Rangie back from the grease monkeys this arvo, purrs like a kitten and runs smoother than it ever has, it always had a burble at idle (loud exhaust) but is now very smooth like the luxury barge it is. Old mate said #2 had a hairline crack in it, meaning it's farked, the others were all filthy again even after a week and #4 which was replaced was like new. Well they're all done on that side now, everything is spotless.

Bloody AC stopped working in the house on Sunday too, still fairly warm here, 35*C today, bloke fixed it this morning, bloody expensive day for me! I guess it's toast and stuff all else until the next pay

The good ol Rangie running like a Swiss clock for the last 2 days, gave her a thrash this arvo while I could, so far no misfires and check engine lights for 2 days 😄, bloody ripper!
