Rather irritatingly I opened the driver's door under a low branch the other day and bent the end of the aluminium door frame trim, the gloss black finishing trim.

I attempted to bend it back but it has cracked the plastic coating in doing so.

Researching the part online it seems that it's Part Number LR034038.

Has anyone ever changed one?

If not my plan is to carefully attack my old one and hopefully that will give clues on how to fit the new one.

Yes these are a separate trim part and are replaceable - my drivers one was replaced by the main agent as they opened the door into something and bent the top corner. It was held on by clips from what I was told. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
