M62 Engine - Vacuum questions - advice required | |
Hi, my L322 G4 hasn’t had a huge amount of use over the past 7months due to house moving etc…
On the drive up from Cheshire to Cumbria, my wife drove the RR and complained the brake pedal was really hard but the brakes felt really bad with poor stopping ability.
The last job it was was f>r brake lines but that was done by a reputable independent LR specialist and although some people have said, bleed the brakes, I’d have thought they would be spongy with air in the lines, not hard.
Looking at the vacuum side of things, the hose from the servo to the pipe that runs around the back is in good shape and connections are snug. The pipe itself seems in good order, no obvious splits or holes.
I have taken pics of things are puzzling me though and would appreciate help.
Question 1 - there is a white pipe that doesn’t seem to be connected to anything, is it a breather or should it be connected to something?

Question 2 - The line that clips on to the inlet pipe has a damaged clip so it’s not seating nicely.
Does anyone know the part number for this line as I can’t see it on JLR Classic or Advanced Factors?

Question 3 - I took a pic of the PCV and it looks to have a light misting of oil, sign of failure?
Question 4 - the right angled elbow and the pipe its connected to weren’t originally joined, should they be? They seemed to be in the right place, just not together.
