Yeah, and plugging in a cable/phone. In reality, you're right, it doesn't matter now (except for saving a 7 hour round trip to a car that has it listed, versus a few 30 minute drives to a few much closer to home).

My autistic brain though wants to now know for an absolute certainty though that it's documented/provable somewhere 😂 Sorry about that...

Adaras’ post seems to be definitive, if the car has a SIM slot, an HDMI slot, and two USB-C slots, wired CarPlay is enable-able. I’m pretty sure it’s in all FFRR’s from 2017 on. You can make it wireless and self-connecting to the phone, also:

To be clear, in the Low Line, CarPlay cannot be enabled by the dealer. For the other variants it should be easily enabled, if not already. There were later facelifted cars with Low Line UIP (mine was like that) so the MY is not always a certainty!

I've never heard of "Low Line"? There's no mention of it in the brochure either. What does that mean please? (may be just meaning one of the lower trim levels, but as I'm looking for an Autobiography it doesn't apply to that?)

Nope! It just means “Low Line Media Interface”.
Nothing to do with vehicle trim level: my car is just a Vogue, but has “High Line” interface.

Maybe Covid supply-chain issues happened to some later cars? “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Mine is a 2017 Autobiography and has a low line. So, nothing to do with the trim spec.

Strange!? Perhaps variance by country? I’ve no idea TBH! “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?
