Head gasket replacement!!

5.0 SC.

I was losing coolant and had to top off every few weeks. Then suddenly my engine started misfiring after a few weeks and I decided to swap ignition coils and found coolant inside the spark plug well. I decided to take it to my local shop and gave them the entire briefing and they ran a “combustion leak test” and confirmed there was exhaust gasses leaking into the cooling system. He is certain that the head gasket is blown due to overheating and possibly warped heads. He is quoting $6000 for replacing the head gasket (with re-manufactured heads, block resurfacing, new timings chains, timing tensioner, piston bearings, crankshaft bearings, new valves, valve cover gaskets, supercharger coupler).

Does this seem like a good price for the repair? (Input is greatly appreciated)

What else should I make sure he replaces since the engine will be taken out anyway just for saving headaches down the road?

All inputs are welcome and appreciated. Thanks.

For all that work and in dollars (£4700 GBP ish) that seems cheap to me. Is there any warranty with the repairs ? I’m sure somebody would do it cheaper but is it worth the hastle and worry of having to do it again 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
