MDL auto parts... does anyone have knowledge of them?

Hi all, long time no see! But I have decided to take the plunge and buy another JLR product.... I know, crazy fool, but I couldn't help myself... I missed the level of refinement that my L322 had, especially the heated screen and steering wheel...

So I brought a Jaguar F-Pace Shocked

And yes I know I'm on the Range Rover site, only Martin doesn't do Jag and I rather trust level of advice and honesty on this site Thumbs Up

And for those of you wondering if a Jag can compare to a Range Rover, I will just say YES and offer this little nugget to stop you worrying... Within 6 days of ownership, my 75k Jag had stretched it's timing chain so much as to render the car next to useless, and had to go to my local JLR indy for surgery... Only I had to wait for 5 weeks to be seen Censored Teach me to buy a car 2 weeks before Christmas Rolling Eyes

Well I've had it back for about 4 weeks and it has been fairly enjoyable, although the dipstick wasn't seated properly and it spat most on the engines contents over Mothers' block paved drive Whistle Nothing to see Whistle

So the reason for being here, has anyone used or had trouble with MDL auto parts? I only ask as they seam to be very very keen on their pricing... almost too good to be true.

And before I go I will leave you with a little revelation... I have discovered the ultimate JLR accessory...

A Citroen C3 Picasso (other makes are available) very cheep to buy, cheep to insure, and £35 a year road tax... oh and it does 60+ mpg! I have found that it takes all the worry of owning a JLR product away and just leaves you with a smile while you woft down the road, waiting for the next hissy fit Rolling with laughter Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... MDL prices for LR parts seem to vary from very cheap to very expensive

as a side note......

When my FF was recently off the road, I borrowed my daughters 2003 Peugeot, it was soooo cheap to run Very Happy Thumbs Up , but there is a downside, having to spend money on a large hat, large sunglasses and a false moustache in case any of my mates saw me driving it. Big Cry

My neighbours who are both well into their 80's always have a little second car as a runabout, the latest acquisition is a bright red 2012 boy racer Corsa with a huge loud back box etc, etc they are hilarious Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter The lady of the house freely admits to growing old disgracefully. Thumbs Up

Well thanks for the replies, I now know as much as when I started Shocked

Pete, all is good with me... you didn't stay away for very long... I thought you were stronger willed than that... So I assume that the Jeep was a bit more disappointing than initially hoped!
As for the Jag.. I just wanted, no yearned for that certain level of sophistication and comfort that a fattie delivers... But I couldn't justify the Tax and Insurance implications that come with a ffrr! The Jag did everything except air ride for 5 insurance groups less and being a 2.0 4 pot is reasonable on the juice.

As for driving in disguise, I was lucky, as I was working night shifts... I left in darkness and returned before anyone had got up Very Happy Anyway sporting a long grey beard and working for the Royal Mail, 99% of toddlers think I'm Santa Cool Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... I hope it's not a C3 Picasso with a PureTech engine or you'll be praising JLR for their reliability before long! 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

I was only asking about a Land Rover (and other related makes) parts supplier Crying or Very sad
I'm beginning to feel like you don't love me anymore Big Cry

And this comes about because I want to get a Gap iid tool for my kitty, which according to the very nice man from Gap, also know as Patrick, a std iid G3 will communicate with kitty Mr. Green So it's not an 'Other Car', it's a heavily modified Range Rover Cool Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer...
