I can only offer the below. I know the version of Bluetooth moves on with the phone, but the car stays as is. I used to get text messages in the car, don’t now…..

I’m still using a 2016 iPhone SE so I don’t get much trouble. I just need Bluetooth on for my phone to pair, the car becomes an expensive headset 🤣.

I bought a JCB phone a couple of weeks ago, (don't do smartphones) and that paired to the car (09 facelift) better than anything I have had before, all contacts are there and it acutally works. The phone itself is however designed by the worlds greatest idiot, but that is a different story altogether.. |

I’ll bear that in mind if this one fails Red Hot One. It’s not that I get many calls on the move but what ever I’ve bought I expect them to work as they should.
