Portugal 2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver
SAS

I have to replace the stearing angle sensor. I ordered a new one and my question is. Can I fit the complete pack and programe it with IIdtoll or Allcoms or is better to separate applying only the part with the brushes and leave the electronics in the car because that is already programed as I saw on youtube?

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover HSE Td6 Giverny Green

I replaced mine by sourcing a new complete unit and separated the unit and fitted just the section with the brushes. This saved a whole load of work by not needing to remove the column but please be aware. You will need a spine/back like a snake in order to get in there on your back working upside down and left=right when trying to remove and install the part!

Important that the new replacement follows the same internal design of the original though. The brush contacts on my replacement looked inferior (thinner) to the very worn originals and I was concerned it would not work but a year on and a few thousand miles later its been 100% successful.

This is the exact item I purchased from this seller in December 2023 based in the UK. I do not endorse this seller or item will work:
