I have a RRS L494 HST with the (lovely) D350 inline-six
I am getting 9.5l/100km here in Switzerland - driving 15km to my office one-way.

on longer runs (>20km) up to 140km/h (ca. 85mph) it is easily possible to go below 8l/100km
I had a RRS L494 with the SDV6 (306hp) and during short runs to work etc. it consumed nearly the same like the D350 (note: D350 is the "competitor" to the SDV8)
during longer runs it consumed always more then the D350

note: the MHEV supports, from my point of view, only up to 60-80km/h. above, the MHEV support is not noticeable

.. short: the new inline six Diesels are lovely engines. if you don't know that it's a Diesel, you wouldn't notice it.. it's really excellent. Range Rover Sport HST D350
