advise needed, i have a 2013 l405 and 1 of the junction cameras has lost a lense which i don't use anyway but i want to put a new front centre camera instead, im gathering i can use the existing cable from the junction camera but need to extend it . anyone know where to get a length of this able and also ia mount to fit the new camera into ( i can buy a camera of ebay ) but cant see a mount with them.
any help much appreciated.

Would a single camera work as a replacement to the two side ones? My understanding is that the cameras all send their data to a control box which then combines them as needed into a single output which is then sent to the display. So the cameras dont sent direct to the display.

So the control box is looking for 2 feeds from the front which it then uses to fill each of the left / right boxes on the display. If you drop that to 1 feed, how will it display it? V8 or else ...

On the display I would still have the lhs junction camera etc but instead of the rhs junction camera,which is broken I would see the front view so when I press that on the display it will enlarge to just front view.
I believe the l405 and later only came with a central front camera.
Just looking for camera cable to lengthen and a housing for new camera.

I’m affraid it wont work as you described. Systems are different, protocols on can bus is different, hardwear is different. And at last every car up to GA chssis vin number has different display and headunit.
