All Season 3PMSF 22" tyre options

I have 22" wheels, currently fitted with Continental Cross Contact LX Sport, which are fine, but apparently they are summer tyres. Having spent time in the past having spare sets of wheels and swapping between summer and winter tyres every 6 months, this is something I want to avoid. However, I do usually drive to a ski resort every year and would hate to be turned away by the gendarmes for not having 3 peak MSF tyres on the car.

The only ones I can find in this size are Vredestein Quatrac Pro+, which seem to get OK reviews, if not great for the brief summer that we get.

Pirelli do a Scorpion SF2 that would be great, but not available in this size. Any other options that I should consider?

I've got Continental cross contact winters 275/45/22 on my 22" turbines. They are £320 each.

This thread is for L460 but I put a tyre survey in it.

I also run Conti Winter Contacts in 275 40 22 - I'm on my 2nd or 3rd set and have been very happy with them.

Thanks Dlphinboy and Alistair. I see that there is quite a good choice for dedicated winter tyres and I have done this in the past. But I'm trying to avoid lugging these hoofing great 22" wheels about or having a second set to swap over. If we had tyr hotels like they do in Germany, I'd be happier to just get the tyres swapped every 6 months, but the only plcae I can seem to do that is the Pirelli centre in Burton, which is a bot out of my way.

Gexr1250dave, I looked at the wildpeaks, they looked good, but speed rating is low wenough to upset my insurance company.

Perhaps the market is so small that it doesn't really justify more than one manufacturer offering something.

I'm surprised about the insurance thing as there rated to 149mph I'm about to swop my sc sport wheel and tyres over to my 5.0 range rover which are 275 45 20. And ditch the 255 50 20 standards just need some better weather so I can spray the wheels black 1st.

Also ran a set on a 4.5 porch cayane last year with no issues and we pushed that a fair bit.

Sorry - I missed the point.

In addition to the Vredestein Quatrac Pro+, there's also Michelin CrossClimate 2 SUV and Grabber AT 3's that claim to be 'all season' rather than 'winter' but have 3PMSF

Gsxr1250dave, I may be making assumptions. I have heard horror stories of insurance companies not paying out and wouldn't want to fall foul of their nitpicking. I should probably call them before purchasing though.

Alistair - excellent, thank you. I'm not sure how I failed to find those. That's plenty of choice, thanks all.
