Defender

I had a short lift in a defender over the weekend.

Very nice interior , comfortable , lots of space. Good ride. Wife liked it enough to say she wants one Big Cry Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

They really are superb cars. As much as I love my FFRR, I do miss my black 90. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Fuji White

I like them myself and watching prices closely, black 130 the best looking, I feel they're the natural successor to the Range Rover Classic & L322 given the the fatty now has aspirations alongside Bentley.

I doubt I'll ever get a newer Range Rover than the L322 they're just not Tonka enough, I'll either stick with the L322 and maybe move up to a nice low mileage 2012 SC 5.0 or I'll go for a Defender 130 Petrol.

You can get a low miles Bentayga now for less that £50k, ugly as Camila, but I'm tempted, not because it's a better car partucularly (i'm hearing they're pretty reliable) but because of LR Dealers and service is diabolical.

Anyway, shoot me down, I'll die happy.

I looked at couple of Defenders in the LR dealer whilst collecting my FFRR recently. One was a 130 with "captain's chairs" second row seats as well as third row seats for three. It felt cavernous inside, and very good quality.

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

My son picked one up last week and came to visit this weekend for its first long outing.
The seats are very comfortable and the overall finish is pretty good.
I was surprised to learn though that the load space behind the rear seats is actually 200mm shorter than the same area in the Discovery 5 that it has replaced.

Stubby tail looks odd doesn't it, sort of unbalanced. 130 has better proportions but there's a departure angle trade off but I'd swap that for the extra foot of boot space.

Check out Harrys' road test, &t=1452s and first impressions @ &t=897s

Very nice, but I don’t think I could cope with it as my daily runabout.,like driving a tank compared to my L322.

I swapped out my 2011 4.4 TDV8 for a new D350 90 so I've made the jump Rolling with laughter
Key feedback: quiet and smooth straight 6 diesel. Loads of torque like the 4.4. Coils are fine and less to wrong. 8 speed box ZF is familiar. Over 40mpg on a run. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

I love the look of that one Harry took to the Alps. Something to do with the lack of glass at the back - makes it look different from the rest. Of course not nearly as practical as you don't get the third row of seats. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB
