Google vs waze

I’ve have always used google maps but for the month or two have been trying waze out and Thumbs Up it’s nice to use now in may we are off to France and was wondering what waze is like to use over there

I struggled with the language but as long as you can remember:

left = gauche
right = droite

??, I did a quick return trip to Cologne recently and it worked fine all the time in France, Belgium and Germany, directions in English throughout ??

or if/when you go to france , a crit sticker if you visit certain cities..


i always found google maps was best for me especially for pre loading my destinations.. ... - .- -.

Waze instructions stay in English but you have to change the setting from MPH to KPH on your mobile before you set off as you cant do it on your touchscreen once you are underway. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

I've used Waze extensively in France & it works well.

In one way, it's better than the UK as people report speed cameras as police presence, so the alert is more obvious.

Google own Waze of course, so should think the maps are pretty much identical.

I prefer Waze though, as it seems better at reporting hazards ahead, as reported by the Waze community. Except when some moron has been reporting every single imperfection on a motorway as a pothole...

emission sticker for france on my list to get but didnt know about the one for germany ..now added Thumbs Up

i also think the reporting on waze is better then google ,i do like been able to plan a route (more then one destination) on google tho which i use a lot for work.
