Fairly sure it will be a failing lighting control module. It’s located to the right of the accelerator pedal behind the plastic panel where the bonnet release lever is. The usual problem is water ingress. |

Many thanks, I have a complete L322 for spares (sadly, previously my daily driver!). Do you know if a replacement module will need to be "initialised" as the workshop manual puts it? Gerry. |

Quite a while since I changed mine, but as far as I recall they are interchangeable but it does something with the recorded mileage on the instrument cluster, perhaps puts a dot against the mileage to show something has been tampered with. |

Thanks again! Looks like a job for the weekend, as the washing machine has packed up, and apparently it has priority |

Just an update; checked the lights on the donor vehicle - all okay.

Fatty off roader displayed the same problems after being drowned in a river, I took the LCM out, then apart and scrubbed everything with deionised water, then blasted it with an electrical cleaner, then stuck it in the airing cupboard for a day... Hey presto, worked again....

Thanks Pete, I'd acclimatised the original unit in the living room for a couple of days, and then reconnected it, without success.
