Android Auto stopped working

A week ago my android auto stopped working with the below message

Tried different cables - no joy.
Reinstalled android auto - still the same message.
Checked no software updates pending.

I did buy a Motorola MA1 wireless adaptor a few weeks ago so installed that, paired it to my phone and immediately android auto is working.

So I have a wireless solution but any ideas why the the wired connection stopped working? 2021 Westminster Black D300 MHEV

i suspect the wireless is overriding the wired ...try and unplug the MA1 and reconnect your phone to the FF again to see if the wired comes back.. ... - .- -.

The wireless wasnt connected in the car when wired android auto stopped working. It actually stopped working when I left the Land Rover Experience at Eastnor but I dont think its linked to that 2021 Westminster Black D300 MHEV

I had reinstalled android auto to check it was latest version. I have disconnected wireless and tried wired again - still not working.
For me I have a solution with wireless now but obviously there is an additional cost to that.

If anyone is looking at the Motorola MA1 it works and fits in neatly. Just plug it in, pair it to your phone and off you go.

I prefer the community aspect to Waze particularly when it warns me about a high accident area Wink

You've not inadvertently changed the USB preferences on the phone by any chance, preventing it from being recognised? 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

It gets weirder.
Checked default usb configuration and its set to No data transfer.
Didnt change it but sat in car, disconnected the Ma1, turned ignition on and connected usb. Android auto worked.
I have no idea what is going on.
I have now changed the usb configuration to file transfer / android auto as that seemed logical but this is a mystery - joy of Land Rover software and Android software. 2021 Westminster Black D300 MHEV
